About Jason Aiello
Jason Aiello has worked in mortgage banking since 2001, with experience spanning direct origination, producing management, branch leadership, loan-file review, pricing, processing oversight, loan-officer training and supervision, and regular interaction with underwriting and secondary-market teams.
Mortgage career
Jason began his mortgage career at Wells Fargo in November 2001. His background has included work with Wells Fargo, JPMorgan, American Home Mortgage, Washington Mutual, Stearns Lending, Citibank, Stonegate Mortgage, New American Funding, Valley View Home Loans, Change Home Mortgage, CrossCountry Mortgage and other mortgage organizations.
Across those environments, he has originated and overseen thousands of mortgage transactions and worked with conventional and government lending, complex borrower profiles, high-net-worth transactions, ownership and entity structures, and selected commercial and business-purpose lending.
Origination and management perspective
Jason’s experience is not limited to individual production. In management and supervisory roles, he trained loan officers on guidelines, pricing and structure; reviewed loan files; supervised originators and processors; and worked with underwriting, secondary-market and management teams on loan quality, structure, pricing and execution.
California and Florida experience
California was a primary market through the earlier part of Jason’s career, including extensive origination experience before 2017. Since 2019, Florida has been the largest source of his mortgage originations. That background informs his understanding of how mortgage practice is applied in different production environments while keeping each assignment tied to the actual facts, loan documents and applicable lending context.
Appraisal, title and closing review
Throughout his mortgage career, Jason has reviewed appraisal, collateral, title, vesting and closing issues from the lender and originator perspective. He does not present himself as a licensed appraiser, attorney or title professional, and keeps those analyses within the mortgage-banking role.
